I think this pretty much applies to spring (or lack of it) back in Alberta! Where is it, and when is it going to arrive?

I poked around the harbour area in Newport, Oregon.

This area of the Oregon coast is very ‘tsunami aware’ after suffering some damage in March after the Japan quake. But it appears from this sign that pets are not allowed to evacuate?

At Beverly Beach state park, the beach is that way, but you can’t go there!

Luckily, I found a way, and even took some photos!

These shells were imbedded in the rock.

And the tidal pools were starting to fill from the incoming tide.

Devil’s Punchbowl, just south of Cape Foulweather.

At Cape Foulweather, the weather was not living up to it’s name in an area where 100mph winds are apparently not uncommon. It was actually a very nice, sunny day with just a light breeze. It was living up to it's name when Rick & Paulette visited on their way home to Vancouver island

I don’t need to go to a zoo. I have a wild animal right in my truck! I think this one is a Tabby Tiger. (Native habitat: Alberta farms. Can be vicious and attack without warning, if provoked. Sharp. Fur: soft.) CIMG5120

  1. HA! Your 404 error was hilarious...as were the sign photos. But how did you manage to find good weather on the Oregon Coast? Beverly Beach was a favorite camping spot when our kids were little...love the wide expanse of sand. Have fun on your travels and watch out for that little tiger.

  3. WOW she sure looks like a little tiger. I bet you'd love to go home but you're better off where you are I bet. Nice not to have a timetable. Happy Easter to you and the tiger.

  5. Funny! Maybe if you had a stronger signal, spring would come faster.
